Beyond the Axis: A Vision That Keeps Industry Moving Forward
Aug 28, 2026

Most people look at a CNC rotary table and see steel, gears, and precision engineering.
Ying-Chu Chen sees people.
He sees the machine builders who need to deliver better solutions, the operators who depend on accuracy every day, and the manufacturers working hard to remain competitive in a changing world.
For Mr Chen, Founder, TJR Precision Technology every rotating axis has always served a greater purpose: helping people make better things.
A Vision Born in Japan
Decades ago, as a young Taiwanese engineer studying mechanical engineering in Japan, Mr. Chen learned the discipline behind precision manufacturing.
But he brought home something more valuable than technical knowledge. He returned with a conviction that would guide his life:
The true value of technology is not measured only by how advanced it is, but by how many problems it solves and how many people it helps.
After returning to Taiwan, he founded TJR with a clear purpose: to build dependable, high-quality CNC Rotary Tables.
Through a deep understanding of machine tools and an unwavering commitment to quality, TJR gradually earned the trust of customers and respected professionals throughout the industry.
The company was growing, but Mr. Chen continued to look ahead.
Seeing a Better Possibility
At the time, most rotary tables were driven by traditional worm gear systems. After prolonged use, friction could lead to wear, wear could create backlash, and backlash could reduce accuracy. Maintenance and downtime were continuing concerns for many users.
When Mr. Chen encountered roller cam technology in Japan, he immediately saw its potential.
With excellent wear resistance, zero backlash, and higher rotational speeds, the roller cam mechanism could deliver greater accuracy, productivity, and long-term reliability. It offered a better answer to problems that manufacturers had faced for many years.
TJR began introducing Japanese roller cam technology into its rotary tables. The products were soon welcomed by the market.
However, one obstacle remained.
Because the key components had to be imported from Japan, production costs were high. The technology could transform manufacturing, yet its price kept it beyond the reach of many machine builders.
Mr. Chen began asking a question that would shape the future of TJR:
“If great technology can only be used by a limited number of manufacturers, how far can it truly move our industry forward?”
Making Precision More Accessible
That question became TJR’s vision.
Mr. Chen made one of the most important decisions in the company’s history: TJR would invest in developing and manufacturing its own roller cams in Taiwan.
It was a difficult challenge.
The complex surface of a roller cam demands exceptional precision in design, machining, measurement, and assembly. There were no shortcuts. Every stage had to be tested, refined, and verified repeatedly.
For several years, the TJR team worked through one challenge after another. Eventually, its self-developed roller cams reached the same level of precision as their Japanese counterparts.
But Mr. Chen’s vision went further than making a precise component.
He wanted to make that precision consistent, repeatable, and accessible.
Traditionally, the assembly of ultra-precision machinery often depended on the experience and intuition of a small number of master craftsmen. Their skills were invaluable, but difficult to reproduce across every product.
TJR therefore began transforming craftsmanship into a systematic manufacturing capability.
The team studied each detail of machining, inspection, and assembly. They converted experience into measurable standards and built repeatable processes around them. Precision would no longer depend only on one master craftsman’s hands; it would become part of every process, every measurement, and every rotary table leaving the factory.
The result was a major breakthrough.
TJR achieved stable batch-to-batch quality and a high level of component interchangeability. Its roller cam rotary tables could be manufactured more efficiently, delivered in shorter lead times, and offered at a more competitive cost—without compromising the precision customers depended on.
A Roller Cam Specialist with a Human Purpose
Today, TJR has grown into a dedicated roller cam rotary table specialist, serving machine builders and manufacturers across Asia, Europe, the Americas, and beyond.
TJR rotary tables help customers machine with confidence, improve productivity, reduce long-term maintenance, and compete more effectively in the global market.
Yet behind every technical achievement remains the same human purpose that began with a young Taiwanese engineer many years ago.
For Mr. Chen, building machinery has never been only about making something faster or more accurate. It is about placing better technology into the hands of the people who build the products, businesses, and industries that move our world forward.
This is what makes TJR more than a CNC Rotary Table Manufacturer.
It is a company built on the belief that precision should be dependable, quality should be consistent, and great technology should be within reach of more people.
Because every rotation can create positive change.
And every step forward can open a new possibility.
Precision is our craft
Consistency is our commitment
Accessibility is our vision.
