Frequently Asked Questions
The TJR FAR-125 has a table diameter of 125 mm (Ø125). Its compact dual-arm design makes it suitable for CNC machining centers where space is limited while providing both rotary and tilting capabilities for multi-axis machining.
The FAR-125 uses a worm and worm gear transmission mechanism on both the rotary and tilt axes. TJR's worm-and-gear design uses a full tooth-depth configuration and allows backlash to be adjusted after wear, providing reliable operation and load resistance for 4th- and 5th-axis machining applications.
The rotary axis provides a full 360° rotation, while the tilting axis has a range of -30° to +120°. This wide tilting range allows the FAR-125 to reach different workpiece surfaces and machining angles for complex multi-axis operations.
The FAR-125 has a rotary-axis indexing accuracy of 40 arc-seconds with 6 arc-seconds repeatability. The tilt axis provides 60 arc-seconds of indexing accuracy and 8 arc-seconds of repeatability. Its minimum incremental angle is 0.001°, supporting precise positioning during CNC machining.
The FAR-125 uses pneumatic clamping on both the rotary and tilt axes at 0.6 MPa (6 kg/cm²). The rotary axis provides a clamping torque of 128 kgf·m, while the tilt axis provides 304 kgf·m, helping secure the table during machining operations.
The FAR-125 can support a maximum workpiece load of 50 kg when the rotary axis is horizontal at 0°. When the table is tilted between 0° and 90°, the allowable workpiece load is 35 kg. Its horizontal allowable inertia load capacity is 0.1 kg·m².
The rotary axis has a 1:60 speed reduction ratio and a maximum table rotation rate of 33.3 rpm. The tilt axis uses a 1:90 reduction ratio and has a maximum table rotation rate of 44.4 rpm. These values provide controlled rotary and tilting movement for multi-axis machining.
The FAR-125 can be configured with major CNC servo motor systems including FANUC, Mitsubishi, Yaskawa, Siemens, Heidenhain, and Syntec. TJR's published specifications list FANUC αiS4 / βiS4 motors for the rotary axis and αiF4 / βiS8 for the tilt axis, while Mitsubishi options include HG-75 / HG-105 for the rotary axis and HG-54 / HG-104 for the tilt axis.
The FAR-125 has a Ø25 mm center through hole and a mandrel sleeve with an inner diameter of Ø35H7. The table also features a 12H7 T-slot and a 14h7 guide-block width for accurate installation and workholding.
Yes. The FAR-125 is a dual-arm tilting rotary table designed for vertical and horizontal installation. Its 360° rotary axis and -30° to +120° tilting axis allow it to provide simultaneous two-axis movement and convert a standard 3-axis machining center into a 5-axis machining system for multi-sided and complex-angle machining.
