Frequently Asked Questions
The FHR-650C features a large Ø650 mm rotary table and is designed for both vertical and horizontal applications. It uses an add-on installation mode, making it suitable for integration with CNC machining centers for demanding 4th- and 5th-axis machining.
The rotary axis provides 360° rotation, while the tilting axis offers a wide -110° to +110° range. This allows workpieces to be positioned at multiple angles for complex multi-axis machining operations.
Both the rotary and tilting axes use a Worm & Worm Gear transmission mechanism. The rotary axis has a 1:120 reduction ratio, while the tilting axis uses a 1:180 reduction ratio, providing controlled high-reduction movement for heavy-duty machining.
The FHR-650C has a minimum increment of 0.001°. The rotary axis provides 15 arc-seconds indexing precision and 6 arc-seconds repeatability, while the tilt axis provides 60 arc-seconds indexing precision and 8 arc-seconds repeatability.
Both the rotary and tilt axes use hydraulic clamping at 3.5 MPa / 35 kg/cm². The rotary-axis clamping torque is 3,630 kgf·m / 370 kgf·m, while the tilt-axis clamping torque is 7,848 kgf·m / 800 kgf·m, according to TJR's published specifications.
The FHR-650C can be configured with major CNC servo motor systems including FANUC, Mitsubishi, Yaskawa, Siemens, Heidenhain, and Syntec. TJR specifically lists FANUC αiS12 / βis22 for the rotary axis and FANUC αiF30 / βis40 for the tilt axis. The listed Mitsubishi models are HG-204 for rotary and HG-703 for tilt.
The rotary axis has a maximum table speed of 25 rpm, while the tilting axis has a maximum table speed of 11.1 rpm. These speeds support controlled indexing and simultaneous multi-axis machining operations.
The FHR-650C supports a maximum workpiece load of 500 kg at 0° horizontal and 400 kg when tilted from 0° to 90°. Its allowable horizontal inertia load capacity is 15.5 kg·m², making it suitable for large and heavy workpieces.
The FHR-650C provides an allowable thrust load of 31,392 N / 3,200 kgf with rotary-table clamping. Its specified axial moment is 7,848 N·m / 800 kgf·m, radial moment is 3,630 N·m / 370 kgf·m, and driving torque is 2,453 N·m / 250 kgf·m. These specifications support heavy-duty machining applications requiring high load capacity and rigidity.
The FHR-650C features a Ø220H7 mandrel sleeve, Ø220 mm center through hole, and 480 mm horizontal table height. It uses an 18H7 T-slot and 18h7 guide block. The rotary table has a net weight of 1,867 kg excluding the servo motor, making it a heavy-duty dual-arm tilting rotary table for large-scale CNC machining.
