Frequently Asked Questions
The TJR FAR-210 has a table diameter of 210 mm (Ø210). Its dual-arm construction provides a rigid workholding platform while maintaining a compact design suitable for CNC machining centers and 4th- and 5th-axis machining applications.
The FAR-210 uses a worm and worm gear transmission mechanism on both the rotary and tilt axes. TJR's worm-and-gear design uses a full tooth-depth configuration and is designed for strong load resistance, reliable operation, and precise movement. Backlash can also be adjusted after wear.
The rotary axis provides a full 360° rotation, while the tilting axis has a range of -100° to +100°. This wide tilting range allows the FAR-210 to access multiple workpiece surfaces and complex machining angles for 5-axis CNC applications.
The FAR-210 has a rotary-axis indexing accuracy of 20 arc-seconds with 6 arc-seconds repeatability. The tilt axis provides 60 arc-seconds of indexing accuracy and 8 arc-seconds of repeatability. Its minimum incremental angle is 0.001°, supporting precise positioning during multi-axis machining.
The FAR-210 uses pneumatic clamping on both the rotary and tilt axes at 0.6 MPa (6 kg/cm²). Both axes provide a clamping torque of 304 kgf·m (31 kgf·m), helping secure the table and workpiece during machining operations.
The FAR-210 can support a maximum workpiece load of 75 kg when the rotary axis is horizontal at 0°. When the rotary axis is tilted from 0° to 90°, the allowable workpiece load is 50 kg. Its allowable horizontal inertia load capacity is 0.27 kg·m².
The rotary axis has a 1:90 speed reduction ratio and a maximum table rotation rate of 33.3 rpm. The tilt axis also uses a 1:90 reduction ratio and has a maximum table rotation rate of 25 rpm. These ratios provide controlled rotary and tilting movement for multi-axis machining.
The FAR-210 can be configured with major CNC servo motor systems including FANUC, Mitsubishi, Yaskawa, Siemens, Heidenhain, and Syntec. TJR's published specifications list FANUC αiF4 / βiS8 motors for the rotary axis and αiF8 / αiS12 / βiS12 motors for the tilt axis. Mitsubishi options include HG-54 / HG-104 for the rotary axis and HG-104 for the tilt axis.
The FAR-210 has a Ø35 mm center through hole and a mandrel sleeve with an inner diameter of Ø40H7. The table also features a 12H7 T-slot and an 18h7 guide-block width for accurate installation and workholding.
Yes. The FAR-210 is a dual-arm tilting rotary table designed for both vertical and horizontal installation. Its 360° rotary axis and -100° to +100° tilting axis provide two-axis movement, making it suitable for 4th- and 5th-axis CNC machining, multi-sided machining, and complex-angle operations. TJR's FAR series is designed to add rotary and tilting movement to machining centers and expand their multi-axis machining capabilities.
