Frequently Asked Questions
The TJR FHR-400CF has a table diameter of 400 mm (Ø400). Its large dual-arm construction provides a rigid workholding platform for heavy-duty CNC machining and demanding 4th- and 5th-axis applications.
The FHR-400CF uses a worm and worm gear transmission mechanism on both the rotary and tilt axes. This transmission design provides strong load resistance, reliable operation, and controlled movement for multi-axis CNC machining.
The rotary axis provides a full 360° rotation, while the tilting axis has a range of -110° to +110°. This wide tilting range allows the FHR-400CF to access multiple workpiece surfaces and complex machining angles for 5-axis CNC applications.
The rotary axis has an indexing accuracy of 15 arc-seconds with 6 arc-seconds repeatability. The tilt axis provides 60 arc-seconds of indexing accuracy and 8 arc-seconds of repeatability. Its minimum incremental angle is 0.001°, supporting precise positioning during multi-axis machining.
The FHR-400CF uses hydraulic clamping on both the rotary and tilt axes at 3.5 MPa (35 kg/cm²). The rotary axis provides a clamping torque of 1,128 kgf·m, while the tilt axis provides 1,717 kgf·m, providing strong holding force during heavy-duty machining operations.
The FHR-400CF can support a maximum workpiece load of 200 kg when the rotary axis is positioned horizontally at 0°. When the rotary axis is tilted between 0° and 90°, the allowable workpiece load is 100 kg. Its allowable horizontal inertia load capacity is 4 kg·m².
Both the rotary and tilt axes use a 1:120 speed reduction ratio. The rotary axis has a maximum table rotation rate of 25 rpm, while the tilt axis has a maximum rotation rate of 16.6 rpm. These high reduction ratios provide controlled movement and high torque for heavy-duty multi-axis machining.
The FHR-400CF can be configured with major CNC servo motor systems including FANUC, Mitsubishi, Yaskawa, Siemens, Heidenhain, and Syntec. TJR's published specifications list FANUC αiF8 / αiS12 / βiS12 motors for the rotary axis and αiF12 / βiS22 motors for the tilt axis. Mitsubishi options include HG-154 for the rotary axis and HG-354 for the tilt axis.
The FHR-400CF has a Ø120 mm center through hole, with an Ø120H7 inner diameter for the mandrel sleeve. The table also features a 14H7 T-slot and an 18h7 guide-block width for accurate installation and workholding.
Yes. The FHR-400CF is a dual-arm tilting rotary table designed for both vertical and horizontal installation. Its 360° rotary axis and -110° to +110° tilting axis provide two-axis movement, making it suitable for 4th- and 5th-axis CNC machining, multi-sided machining, and complex-angle operations. TJR's dual-arm tilting rotary table series is designed to add rotary and tilting movement to machining centers for expanded 5-axis capabilities.
