Frequently Asked Questions
The FAD-210F features a Ø210 mm rotary table and is designed for both vertical and horizontal applications. It uses an add-on installation mode, making it suitable for CNC machining centers requiring compact 4th- and 5th-axis machining capabilities.
The rotary axis provides 360° rotation, while the tilting axis offers a range of -100° to +100°. This wide tilting range allows workpieces to be positioned at multiple angles for complex multi-axis machining operations.
Both the rotary and tilting axes use Direct Drive transmission. This configuration provides direct motor-to-axis drive without conventional mechanical reduction gearing. Both axes are specified with a Direct Drive reduction ratio.
The FAD-210F provides a minimum programmable increment of 0.001°. The rotary axis has 20 arc-seconds indexing precision and 4 arc-seconds repeatability, while the tilting axis provides 30 arc-seconds indexing precision and 4 arc-seconds repeatability.
Both the rotary and tilting axes use pneumatic clamping rated at 0.6 MPa / 6 kg/cm². The rotary-axis clamping torque is 31 kgf·m, while the tilting-axis clamping torque is 45 kgf·m, providing secure workpiece positioning during machining.
The FAD-210F can be configured with major CNC servo motor systems including FANUC, Mitsubishi, Yaskawa, Siemens, Heidenhain, and Syntec. TJR specifically lists Direct Drive (DD) Motor configurations for both the rotary and tilting axes with FANUC and Mitsubishi systems.
The rotary axis has a rated speed of 200 rpm and a maximum speed of 300 rpm. The tilting axis has a rated speed of 50 rpm and a maximum speed of 150 rpm, allowing high-speed positioning and simultaneous multi-axis machining.
The FAD-210F supports a maximum workpiece load of 50 kg in the 0° horizontal position and 30 kg when tilted from 0° to 90°. Its allowable horizontal inertia load capacity is 0.28 kg·m².
The rotary axis provides 29 Nm rated cutting torque and 143 Nm maximum cutting torque. The tilting axis provides 48 Nm rated cutting torque, increasing to 118 Nm with oil cooling, with a 143 Nm maximum cutting torque. The allowable thrust load is 4,000 N / 407.8 kgf, with an axial moment of 450 N·m / 45.8 kgf·m and radial moment of 310 N·m / 31.6 kgf·m.
The FAD-210F features a Ø40H7 mandrel sleeve, Ø40 mm center through hole, and 250 mm horizontal table height. It uses a 12H7 T-slot and 18h7 guide block. The unit has a net weight of 223 kg including the Direct Drive motor.
